PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAM

Our worship ministry is a vital instrument that opens the door to the presence of God. We have an outstanding group of committed individuals who enjoy demonstrating and leading you into worship. We have dedicated and talented musicians and are continually seeking new members to enhance our praise and worship team. Listed below are some questions with Biblical answers regarding praise and worship.

Why do we emphasize worship of the Lord?

"You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve." - Matthew 4:10

"0 come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." - Psalm 95:6

"Who shall fear you, 0 Lord, and glorify Your Name? For You only are holy; for all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments are made manifest." - Revelation 15:4

How should we worship the Lord?

"But the hour comes and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to worship Him. God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." - John 4:23, 24

"0 worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth."  - Psalm 96:9

Why do we audibly praise the Lord?

"Bless the Lord, 0 my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name." - Psalm 103: 1

"By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His Name." -

Hebrews 13:15

"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." - Psalm 134:2

"I desire all men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." - I Timothy 2:8

Why do we clap our hands and shout to the Lord?

"0 clap your hands, all you people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." - Psalm 47:1

Why do we often stand when we sing?

"And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korahites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high." - II Chronicles 20:19

"After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations  and kindreds  and peoples  and tongues, stood before the throne and before the lamb." - revelation 7:9, 10

It is a matter of reverence

Why do we sing in other tongues and English?

"For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with my spirit, and I will pray with my understanding also; I will sing with my spirit, and I will sing with my understanding also." - I Corinthians 14:14,15

Why are musical instruments & dancing a part of our worship?

"Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and the lyre. Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing, praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals." - Psalm 150:3-5

Why do we teach worship as a lifestyle?

"You are worthy...You have created all things for Your pleasure." - Revelations 4:11

"We are His creation, we are chosen to show forth the praises of Him." - I Peter 2:9

We are the ultimate example of His handiwork, therefore everything we do, say or sing is worship. "Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord." - Psalm 150:6

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever."  - Hebrews 13:8
