Kingdom Kids Children's Ministry
"...Allow the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for such is the Kingdom of God."
Mark 10: 14
Here at Covenant Community Church we want every child entering to know they are loved and valued as an individual and to know the love of Jesus Christ. We want to help every child to know that they have a special place in the household of God. We want to lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and working with the parents, we want to help every child stand alone for Christ in their neighborhood and at school. Our children are an essential part of the Kingdom of God.
What is our Children's Ministry?
We present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our children on their level, bringing the Bible alive by using drama, and a variety of creative ways. We make it fun and exciting to learn about Jesus and His love.
Growing Up With God Wednesday
On Wednesday nights Kingdom Kids offers the Growing Up With God Series by Shawn Bolz. Here is a little information on this program:
Join Lucas and Maria and friends on their everyday adventures in friendship with God!
Lucas knows God talks to him, but he would have never imagined that he would hear such a specific thing about his year . . . and could Maria really have heard God about her destiny? They both have to wonder if God speaks to kids this way. Over the months that follow, God begins to connect them to other kids that grow into friends. Who could have guessed that by the end of the year, their lives would be so exciting!
Everyone can grow up with a real relationship to God where we hear his voice and know him like a real friend. This series will help your child learn how. In each section that relates to a chapter in Growing Up with God, you’ll find:
-A reminder of what was in the chapter
-A true story from a kid your child'sage about how he or she encountered God
-Three important things to know about God’s voice
-Bible verses your child can learn and will change their life
-Questions for them to think about and answer
-A prayer to help them learn how to pray
-The great pictures from Growing Up with God to guide their journey
The more they get to know how God speaks to them, the easier it is to know his heart of love for them and everyone around them. When they hear from God there is an exciting life journey to take that will require a real connection to the Bible and to what he is saying directly to them!
“I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.”
Superbook Academy Sunday
On Sundays, Kingdom Kids offers The Superbook Academy series. Here is some information on Superbook:
Superbook Academy take your class on an adventure with Chris, Joy and their robot Gizmo as they travel back in time to discover Biblical truths they can use every day. Gizmo and his friends also explain Biblical history and how each story points to Jesus! Kids around the world love Superbook animated Bible adventures.
This exciting digital Sunday School curriculum features animated Superbook® Bible adventures, and in-depth lesson plans that will challenge your students with engaging, Christ-centered learning experiences.
Each course consists of three lessons based on biblical SuperTruths.
Your kids will view original videos, enter into prayer and worship, and participate in creative games and activities that teach the difference between knowing about God to knowing God.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
When & Where Can My Children Attend?
Both Sunday morning and Wednesday night classes are held in our education building, The Benjamin Center, located behind the main sanctuary building.
Sunday morning classes are for children ages 4 - 10. Children first gather in the sanctuary with their parents for worship. When the children are dismissed they go to the Fellowship Hall to be escorted to the Benjamin Center by their teachers. At the end of the service children need to be picked up by their parents in Glass Hall located in the Benjamin Center. Parents are always welcome to either escort their children and/or visit the class whenever they want.
Wednesday evening classes are for children ages 4 – 12, and all children are dropped off and picked up directly at Glass Hall in the Benjamin Center.
